After returning to action with a slew of singles in 2017 and 2018, Bedouin Soundclash have detailed their first new album in nine years.
The Toronto duo of Jay Malinowski and Eon Sinclair will release their fifth studio album MASS on October 4 through Sony Music Canada. Fourteen tracks in length, the album follows the band's 2010 album Light the Horizon.
MASS was co-produced by the band and Philadelphia house legend DJ King Britt, while musical direction came from Ben Jaffe of the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. The album was recorded at New Orleans' Marigny Studios with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and at Vancouver's St. James Church with the children of the St. James Music Academy.
MASS is said to find Bedouin Soundclash delving "further into New Orleans jazz, afro-pop, electronic and gospel," a reflection of "a creative rebirth influenced by the cities and musicians that surrounded them."
Previously released singles "Clock Work," "Salt Water" "They Gutted This City," "When We're Gone," "Born into Bad Times," "Drive " and "Holy" all appear in the tracklist.
Alongside the announcement, you can hear new single "Full Bloom" below.
Bedouin Soundclash are set to tour the U.K. in October before a November date in Kitchener, and you'll also find all their stops below the tracklist.
